Meet Rachael

Hi! I am Rachael Stevenson, Owner of RS Events & Lifestyle and I am SO happy that you are here!

After two decades of working across the entertainment, events and corporate industries in London and around the world I moved back to my beautiful home in Derbyshire because quite frankly, there is no place like home.

My Journey

My journey to RS Events & Lifestyle has been a ‘squiggly career’ ride but one which has allowed me to travel around the UK, across Europe to the Middle East, North Africa and South America.

Rachael

It has allowed me to develop my skills within all corners of the industry! I started off working as a performer in theatres, on board cruise ships, and in 5-star hotels and casinos all over the world and would take jobs in hospitality and events between contracts. I found I had a natural talent for event management and organizing event staff so it became a natural career progression when I was ready to step off that stage.

I have been lucky to gain a wide range of experiences across some of the world’s most well-known events.

Olympics

I have freelanced for a global event agency for over 13 years which has included managing operations for sponsors on the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, organizing a VIP concierge service for the New York Yankee’s and Boston Red Sox during the first UK Major League Baseball game and organizing hospitality experiences in our capital on behalf of Premier League Football Club sponsors.

I have worked in Transport Management and Artist Liaison roles on live televised productions such as The Brits, MTV Awards and Stand Up to Cancer where I have been responsible for managing the needs of Music Artists, Sporting Talent, Celebrities and VIPS.

I have six years’ experience in event staffing and talent management and have worked in production and styling roles for brands such as Selfridges, Dolce & Gabbana and Issey Miyake.

As exciting and invaluable as those experiences have been, my heart is most full when I can share my skills and experience with my own private and corporate local clients.

Back in 2009, I was first approached by a Derby-based business to organize a launch and since then have planned local VIP hospitality experiences, conferences and personal celebrations. I found the more intimate the event the guests appreciated the finer details and stress-free organisation.

In recent years I realised that there was a need for a boutique events & lifestyle agency based in Derby, the UK’s most central city. 

What was missing was an agency with a finger on the pulse of the hottest international events and entertainment trends, the most up-to-date best practices in event management, and a little black book of Rockstar staff, suppliers and talent to boot.

And so, RS Events & Lifestyle was born!

'I have worked with Rachael on a number of occasions. Firstly, as a Hospitality Manager at Pride Park where Rachael would often manage our annual Mickleover Sports Christmas dinner. And in more recent years we have called upon Rachael to assist us with the supply of event staff on events such as One Big Weekend at the Don Amott Arena.

Rachael always understands what we need from staff and has handpicked great teams for us from her network of local contacts.'
